Allerton House - Jedburgh

Location very close to the town centre of Jedburgh, very close proximity to town and all attractions and restaurants, and Jedburgh restaurants and bars. Also, handy to sights. Tastefully decorated room and spotless, big bed. Marvellous breakfast, including granola, porridge, pudding and fruit.

Everything was excellent, including enjoyable and amazing breakfasts with porridge and the option of haggis.

Double Room featured a spacious layout with stylish decor and comfortable furnishings. Unique seating area offered a nice spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploration.

Parking arrangement is tight. You might have to do some maneuvering to fit your ride. The breakfast pre-order system feels limiting. I prefer seeing options visually to get inspired, and apparently, some went uneaten. The bathroom could use a refresh. It feels a bit worn out, and hauling my bag up those grand stairs without assistance wasn't ideal for a solo traveler. It's situated on a hill.

The room was spacious, clean, and decorated beautifully. The en-suite bathroom had both a shower and a bath. Breakfast each morning offered a range of delicious options, including fresh fruit and a hearty cooked meal. I particularly enjoyed the haggis and black pudding. The hosts, William and Nina, were genuinely friendly and helpful, always ready with local dining suggestions. I even misplaced an item, and William promptly sent it back to me, greatly appreciated. The only downside was the parking situation. It felt a bit tight and could be a challenge during peak hours. Though, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others, especially for its warm hospitality and excellent breakfast.

Our hosts were super friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and we loved the little lounge area with a log fire. Just wish there were more dining options nearby for dinner.

A fine hotel with a spacious double room, with a comfortable bed and an excellent view. Breakfast options were diverse, with standout porridge and thoughtfully arranged seating to enhance the experience. The cute hosts ensured all needs were met. A minor inconvenience was the plate sizes during breakfast, a bit cumbersome on the table.

We had the best time here! The Abbey room was just gorgeous, and the hosts were super friendly. After a long day walking. Plus, the packed lunches were a nice touch. Only bummer was the towel supply could have been better. A fab experience!

Consider asking about local events during your stay. I discovered a fantastic annual festival that I otherwise would have missed.

I stayed for two nights and enjoyed the spacious twin room. The hosts were helpful in arranging pickups from the trail, a nice touch. I liked that I could choose my breakfast the night before. The selection was good, and the food was well made. I appreciated having a kettle and fridge in my room for snacks. Being able to walk to nearby restaurants was convenient.

The cozy lounge with a library was a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Plus, the lovely gardens provided a peaceful escape.

Nice place with great wi-fi, free parking, and luggage storage. I remember how the staff helped return my forgotten headphones during my first stay. A warm and friendly atmosphere makes me come back for a weekend.

Nice place with excellent wi-fi, free parking, and a tv. I fondly remember the staff offering me a hot drink when I first arrived on a cold day. Highly recommend! I'm coming back for Easter.
